"Not worth the money for us"
I really wanted to enjoy Boone Hall Fright Nights, but it was disappointing. The lines were way too long, and the whole thing felt disorganized from start to finish, which made it hard to get into the experience.
For what we paid, I expected a lot more scares and a smoother setup. We left feeling like it just wasn’t worth the money, and I’d expect some kind of apology for how underwhelming it was. Probably won’t be back next year
"Great costumes, but be ready for some creepy close-ups"
I went with a few friends the costumes were probably my favorite part. Some of the makeup looked seriously creepy up close, especially when you’re walking through the darker areas, so fair warning if you get freaked out easily. A few of the actors looked a little more basic compared to the others, but overall we had a really fun time and I’d say it was worth going.

"Fun idea, but the waiting was a lot"
We went to Boone Hall Fright Nights with a group, and I was really trying to stay positive about it, but the waiting definitely took over the night.
The lines were moving so slowly that it felt like we spent most of our time just standing there pretending everything was fine. A few clearer signs or updates would have helped, but you know, standing around in the dark guessing is also an experience, I guess.
Once we actually got into the haunted attractions, the actors were good and put in real effort. But for the price and the amount of waiting, I probably wouldn’t go back unless they figure out the timing better...

"Fun maze, even if I got totally turned around"
I had a good time with this maze. The layout was fun and confusing in that way where you’re laughing because you swear you’ve already passed the same corner three times. There was one section that felt a little cramped, though, especially when a few people were trying to move through at once. It kind of reminded me of trying to squeeze past people in a grocery store aisle when everyone suddenly needs cereal for some reason. Overall, though, it was a solid setup and definitely kept me guessing.

"Not great if you rely on accessibility tools"
I tried using boonehallfrightnights.com to look up tickets and basic info, and it was harder than it should’ve been. My screen reader kept getting weird stuff from the menus, or like… not enough info, and some buttons didn’t really say what they were for.
The whole dark Halloween look is cool, I guess, but some of the contrast made things tough to read. I get the vibe they’re going for, but yeah, when you actually need to navigate it, it kind of falls apart.
After messing with it for a while, I just gave up and asked someone else to help me. Which is frustrating, especially now. It just feels like this should be handled better in 2025.

"Good sound, and the lights were cool too"
The sound was really loud, in a good way, and the lights I thought were cool. It felt creepy enough, which was what I wanted, so overall I had a good time.

"I’ll admit, I pretty much assumed it was..."
I’ll admit, I pretty much assumed it was going to be a little cheesy at first, but the actors were actually really fun and totally sold it. A few of the scares felt so real that I caught myself reacting before I even knew what was happening. Definitely a good time.

"Fun with friends, but kind of a mixed night"
I went with a group of six friends and, uh, we still had a decent time overall. Some of the actors were really into it, and there were a couple spots that actually got us good, but the lines felt a little all over the place and we ended up waiting longer than we expected.
For the price, I was hoping for a few more scares and just a smoother setup in general. It was still a fun group night out, just not anything amazing. I’d maybe go again if they tighten up the flow a bit.

"Effects felt a bit weak for what I paid"
I went in thinking the effects would be the best part, but a lot of it felt basic to me. There was fog all over the place and a few of the lights looked cool, but some of the props seemed kind of worn out or like they weren’t working right. I can’t say for sure if I just caught it on an off night, but that’s how it came across when I went.
There were a couple jump scares that got me a little, but the sound and makeup didn’t really pull everything together. Maybe I was expecting too much, and I’m not claiming I saw every detail perfectly, but for a fright night I wanted more than random strobes and loud bangs. I’d probably give it 2 stars.

"We waited in line for what felt..."
We waited in line for what felt like forever, and the whole “line entertainment” thing got old quickly. Maybe it was better in other spots, but where we were, there was mostly just a lot of standing around, and I couldn’t really hear much anyway. It didn’t do much to make the wait feel shorter. For the price, I guess I just expected a bit more.

"NOT prepared for bad weather"
We went on a rainy night it felt like they had NO real plan for it. The lines were super muddy, there was barely anywhere to stay dry, and the staff seemed just as confused as everyone else. I totally get that nobody can control the weather, but a few better updates or even some covered areas would’ve made a huge difference. It pretty much ruined the night for us

"Definitely Not for Younger Kids"
I took my 11-year-old thinking it would be a little spooky but still fun, and I can say with absolute certainty it was way too much for that age. Some of the scary parts came on suddenly, with barely any warning, and it got intense fast. The website really needs to be clearer about what ages this is actually meant for, because we were 100% not expecting it to be that scary. We ended up leaving early, which was disappointing.
"The concessions were fine for the basics, like..."
The concessions were fine for the basics, like fries and soda, but the lines got long and the prices felt a bit much for what you get. The food wasn’t bad, I just wish there had been more options. Also, the staff member I talked to came off a little like they were talking down to me when I asked a simple question, which didn’t help the experience.

"I didn’t feel very safe there. Security..."
I didn’t feel very safe there. Security seemed all over the place, and the crowds got way too packed for comfort. I tried asking for help, but I kept getting transferred from one person to another, which was really frustrating. Ended up leaving early because it just didn’t feel worth staying

"Fun event, but uh the bathroom situation was rough"
I thought the idea was really fun, but uh, the restroom setup was frustrating. The lines were long, and when I actually needed a bathroom, I couldn’t find one nearby. It kind of took me out of the night and made the whole experience less enjoyable

"Wish I’d Read the Reviews First"
I was disappointed. I went in expecting something creepy and fun, but the whole vibe felt kind of flat. There wasn’t much energy, and there were a lot of awkward quiet parts where it just felt like we were walking around in the dark waiting for something to happen. I kept hoping it would pick up, but it never really did. I definitely wish I had read the reviews first

"Decent spot, but the signs need work"
Overall, it was an okay place and the event itself seemed well put together. As someone who likes to know exactly where I’m going when driving somewhere new, the signage was a little frustrating. The location wasn’t too hard to find at first, but once we got close, it wasn’t super clear where to turn and we had to slow down and kind of guess. The parking signs could be clearer too. I’d go back, but better signs from the road would make a big difference.

"I’ll give credit where it’s due: the staff..."
I’ll give credit where it’s due: the staff at Boone Hall Fright Nights were genuinely nice. Whenever we had a question, they were helpful, and a couple of the people working the lines were joking around with everyone, which made the waiting a lot easier.
That said, the event itself was just okay. For the price, I expected it to be a lot scarier, and it doesn’t feel totally fair to charge that much for something that was mild. We still had an alright night, but mostly because the employees were friendly, not because the scares really delivered.

"The parking was such a mess that..."
The parking was such a mess that it kind of ruined the whole experience for me. It just feels wrong to have customers show up and then leave them dealing with that much confusion and stress before they even get inside

"Fun night, but the ticket prices were a lot"
I had a good time overall and the event itself was really enjoyable, but the ticket prices felt steep. I’m glad I went, but I’m not sure I’d pay that much again unless it was something I was really excited about.
